Designs

Design in permaculture is the process through which different elements on a site are put in relation to one another in order to create reinforcing systems.  This is the essence of permaculture, and it’s what we’re trying to learn more about.  To that end, we’re going to use this part of the site to share both designs we generate ourselves and the designs of other people we encounter during our travels.

The first stop for us was Mfangano Island, on the Kenyan side of Lake Victoria.  We completed a design there for a small family and their farm.  More information is available here, please don’t hesitate to leave comments and tell us what you think.

After Mfangano, we headed to Sabina School in Ssanje in Southwest Uganda – more information on the work going on there is available here – again, any comments are welcome!
